Food on the terrace from 4pm. An afternoon-into-night for people who move to real drums. 16:00 - Oudskul Omello (live) Omello is a singer, drummer, producer and composer from Durban, South Africa, now based in Zurich and no stranger to Kasheme. His sound sits between neo-soul, Afro-folk and experimental jazz: Dilla-loose rhythms, warm melodies, and lyrics that move between Zulu and English. Before going solo he played with bands across South Africa and the US, and his 2024 album A Talk About Listening sums up what he's about: music that asks you to actually listen. A soulful warm-up as the sun goes down on the terrace. 19:00 - 00:00 - Patrick Forge (DJ, London) Few DJs carry the story of jazz on the dancefloor like Patrick Forge. In the late 80s he stood next to Gilles Peterson at Dingwalls in Camden for Talkin' Loud and Sayin' Something, the legendary Sunday sessions where London's dancers turned jazz into club culture. He broadcast on Kiss FM for 21 years, from its pirate days to its last Cosmic Jam show, compiled the Rebirth of Cool series, co-founded the Afro-Brazilian project Da Lata (whose latest album Edge of Bluecame out in 2025), and today hosts a monthly show on NTS. He's also the man behind the Sunday takeover of the Love Dancin' tent at We Out Here. 0:00 - 02:00 - Biggie Small (Kasheme) The Kasheme duo, J’peux Tim & Kreshnik playing as Biggie Small will close the night Expect five hours of jazz dance, Brazilian grooves, broken beat, boogie, Afro and soulful house: across the whole soulful spectrum, always with a jazz perspective. A dancer's DJ, in a room built for listening. Food on the terrace from 16:00. Tickets: CHF 20.– / CHF 15.– students & KulturLegi (please bring ID) Come for the music. Stay for the dance.
